Does the Peltor ProTac III feature ’Active’ noise protection?

No, the Peltor ProTac III does have Level Dependent Noise Protection. So they are capable of blocking out harmful noises, whilst hearing ambient noises. If you do require ’Active’ Noise Protection you need the Peltor SportTac – Stock Number 884-2379.

Can the Peltor ProTac III Headset be connected to a mobile phone or MP3 player?

Yes, an external jack and the supplied cable allows you to stream music from the radio or the internet. The volume is automatically muted when there is a call over the communication radio, or when you want to reach someone.Why are ear defenders necessary?
